In the morning after breakfast a short drive of 15 mins from camp to Chopta. On arrival begin the uphill trek of 04 km to Tungnath. Tungnath is the highest temple of Shiva, at a height of 3200 meter. Where the arm of Lord Shiva is worshiped. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks from Chandrashila which can be reached by a further uphill trek of ½ km from the temple of Tungnath. Return back to camp for night stay.
Overnight in Chopta.
Chopta: It is one of the most picturesque spot of Uttaranchal state as the natural splendors seen from here are very diverse. Chopta is an offbeat destination and it acts as an interesting tourist getaway for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Tungnath: Situated at an astounding elevation of 3680mts above sea level, Tungnath Mandir is one of the Panch Kedar and highest temple of Lord Shiva. Tungnath Mandir can be reached by a 3.5km trek starting from Chopta. Ironically Tungnath Mandir the highest amongst Panch Kedar is easiest one to reach.
