Itinerary Details

Day 1 : Arrive Bagdogra - Gangtok by drive

On arrival at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station meet with Raheja Vacations representative, who will introduce you with your Pilot driver and brief you about your tour “Mesmerizing Gangtok with Kalimpong”. Now proceed to Gangtok by drive (5hrs. approx.) . Gangtok – Situtated at an height 1670 meter (5480feet), one of the most popular spot of India, which is also the capital of Sikkim suits all from tranquillity to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals and festivals. It is the most beautiful town with varieties of Rhododendron, orchids and butterflies. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free for own activities or visit to MG Road or shopping centres around there . Transfer back to hotel.

Day 2 : Gangtok tour

Post breakfast leave for city tour of Gangtok. Sightseeing includes Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Research Institute of Tibetology, Enchey Monastery, Flower shor , White Hall, Garden Ganesh Tok, Tashi view point, Hanuman Tok, Banjhakri Falls- one of the finest falls close to Gangtok. Transfer back to hotel.

Day 3 : Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake /Baba Mandir

Post breakfast enjoy an excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (New) (40 kms. approx.). The Lake is oval shaped, nearly 50 feets deep,generally covered in snow for most of the year the year. This lake is home to Brahmini ducks and many migratory Birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all. Visit Nathu La Pass to Republic of China (20 kms approx.) is optional tour. Transfer back to Gangtok (Note : in case of landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).

Day 4 : Gangtok – Kalimpong by drive

Post breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Kalimpong by road (2.5hrs. approx.). Kalimpong – a green destination, situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of 1243 meters(4078 feet). It is a historical destinations with bustling market, colourful people & offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. Reach by afternoon, transfer to hotel for check in. After refreshing, get ready for city tour , drive through scenic road to Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Forest Museum (Closed on Thursday), Dr Graham Homes, Mangaldham, Durbin Monastery, Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only). Transfer to Kalimpong . Evening free time to explore local market (for shopping or street food) or just roam around the hundred nurseries.

Day 5 : Kalimpong – Bagdogra by drive

Post breakfast leave for Bagdogra (4hrs. approx.) to board the flight for onwards journey.
